glitch in time axis.

Hello all,

I am having trouble using ferret to plot time series of monthly mean
values once the data length goes beyond 16 years. Looks to me that 
when the data file is very long, the too many ticks (by default Ferret
puts one for each month) on the abscissa causes the plotting to crash.

Did anyone run into this problem before?
