source question?

Hello Every Sir,
!@!@!@ I am beginner for ferret_user. I have installed the ferret in
IBM_RS6000(AIX4.1), but I got a error when I typed "ferret" in the
directory /songyj/ferret/bin. The error is:

!@ The FERRET environment has not been properly set up.
!@ (The environment variable FER_DIR is not defined)

!@ Have you executed "source your_system_path/ferret_paths" ?

But there is not the command "source" in IBM_RS6000. How can I do?
