Re: [ferret_users] reverse the colorbar

Hi Soenke,
One way to do it is to reverse the y-coords (in inches) in "ppl shakey". The setting does not "stick" so you will I think need to do something like the following:

shade/set/i=1:10/j=1:10 i+j
ppl shakey,,,,,,,,,7.4,1.4 ; ppl shade

Good luck,
Mick
PS the 7.4,1.4 are the top and bottom coords in inches of the y-axis in a standard 8"x6" plot. You could use other values to alter the size of the colorbar, or maybe use the ppl symbols.

Dear Ferreters,

is there any possibility to reverse a vertical colorbar ?
In my case, I`m plotting a Hovmueller diagram, showing the
temporal development of potential density in the upper ~1000m
at some specified region.
To get the z axis right: set axis/depth z_ax
Everythig works fine, except the colorbar is in
opposite direction compared to the increasing density with depth.
I tried to set the ppl shakey `orient` attribute to -1 and to
reverse the /levels qualifier to ($ppl$zmax, $ppl$zmin, (-)delta)
but both didn`t changed the direction of the key.

Kind regards

Soenke
