Re: how to create netcdf from ascii files
Hi Enils,
Example 3 (2 variables, 1 dimension) in the ASCII data section of the Ferret
user's guide explains how to read the data into Ferret. You can also create a
grid by defining the axes (lat and lon will be length 1, time will be the number
of timesteps) and the grid, and including g=gridname as a qualifier to the
command (see other messages in this thread). Interpolating Station data on to a
2 dimensional lon/lat grid involves decisions on the resolution of the grid and
the type of analysis needed for interpolation.
