Compiling MacOS X external functions

Hi

I recently installed ferret and vis5d+ on my mac (running 10.2.6) and wanted
to convert some of my netCDF data to vis5d format. To do so using the ferret
command writeV5D it appears that you have to compile the routines in the
ferret/ext_funcs/src/ path. The Makefile, however, falls over as there are
no specified flags for the macintosh in the ferret/ext_funcs/src/v5d/
directory only for sun, solaris etc. Has anyone run the Makefile in the
external functions directory for MacOS X and complied the routines there?

Ta

James
