Re: cross section

well, I hope there is other way to do this, 'cause seems to me not so
elegent...
define a index dimension (1,2,3...or distance to fist location) and
store data(include the position information). for me the structure looks
like:

     currently SET data sets:
    1> ./DenmSt.nc (default)
 name title I J K
L
 LONGITUDE
                                           1:100
... ... ...
 DLONGITU 1:100
... ... ...
 LATITUDE 1:100
... ... ...
 DLATITU 1:100
... ... ...
 MLDENS mixed-layer density 1:100
... ... 1:119
 UVEL zonal velocity 1:100 ... 1:20
1:119
 VVEL meridional velocity 1:100 ... 1:20
1:119
 LTHICK layer thickness 1:100 ... 1:20
1:119
