Re: Resolution of GIF Image

Hi Rong,
Here are a couple of ideas that will help you. (Search the Ferret
Users list Archives for the words "resolution" and "gif" for older
discussions of this)

1) Start Ferret with the -gif command line switch, and either use
the command SET WINDOW/SIZE= or call the script set_pixel_size,
to make the window larger.
yes? go/help set_pixel_size ! See information about this script

There is an FAQ on how to get a desired size for a gif image, at
http://ferret.pmel.noaa.gov/Ferret/FAQ/graphics/gifsize.html

2) Use Ferret to produce a postscript plot and use a tool such as xv, or
programs like Adobe Illustrator, Macromedia Freehand, or Transverter Pro
to read the ps file and convert it into a format that you can work with. (We
do not endorse these or any particular application.)
