	Here is a demo that may help

region/i=1:50/j=1:40 ; let v=if(i+j ge 40)then 1 else 0

! to label the contour with a "1"
ppl conset,,0 ; contour/lev=(0.999) v

! or to have no contour label
contour/lev=(0.999)/size=0.001 v
