Hi all,

I've a series of scripts that were running just fine 
with Ferret v5.2 on a RH7.0-PC. Now with FERRET v5.40
on a Linux 2.4.3-12smp (SuSe) I'm getting the error message:

STOP: var prot err --> UVAR
Warning: Floating underflow occurred

The scripts have loops in various axis and Ferret exits 
randomly at different loop steps, i.e., it may run for 
4, 10 or only one loop step before the error message.

Any hints ?
