RE: vertical velocity

My idea is
if and only if you have velocity field U, V in a water column from bottom
(necessary) to surface (or to certain depth), then you are able to calculate
the vertical velocity W from bottom to surface by equation
(du/dx+dv/dy+dw/dz=0). Lei

Subject: vertical velocity

Hi ferreters,

does someone have a journal which calculates vertical velocities
from the U, V fields?
