Ferret GUI problem

	Hello,

	I'm installing Ferret in a laptop (IBM Thinkpad 380ED) with Linux
Red Hat 7.0. Could you help me with the following problems?

(1)	When typing

	>ferret -gui

	I get

	X Error of failed request: BadDrawable
		 (invalid Pixmap or Window parameter)
	Major opcode of failed request: 14 (X_GetGeometry)
	Resource id in failed request: 0x0
	Serial number of failed request:	3592
	Current serial number in output stream: 3592

(2)	Also, when running the tutorial the color in the map plots
	are all weird, and some of the error messages are like:

	XcSetColour: Couldn't allocate X color: RGB = 18710 14737 63318

	How do I get the color setting right?
