The KEO mooring shortly after deployment in Sept 2010. This buoy was recovered during operations at the KEO location
on 14 Nov 2011, when the replacement mooring was deployed. Above the tower ring are sensors for wind speed, rainfall, visible (sunlight) and infrared radiation.
On the shelf just below the tower top are sensors for air temperature, relative humidity and barometric pressure.
The white structure just above the deck on the buoy provides access to a waterproof instrument space, which contains the batteries and data systems for the meteorological, subsurface oceanographic, and carbon dioxide sensors.
The green strap was used to lift the buoy during the deployment.
