sOCS Stations

PMEL Ocean Climate Stations are a NOAA contribution to the global newtwork of OceanSITES time series reference sites.



KEO Kuroshio Extension Observatory, an ocean climate station south of the Kuroshio Extension at 146.5E, 32.3N, is funded by NOAA Climate Programs Office, Office of Climate Observations, June 2004 - ongoing.
StnP Ocean Climate Station Papa is in the Gulf of Alaska at 145 W 50N. The June 2007 - June 2009 deployments were funded by a NSF Carbon and Water in the Earth System grant to Dr. S. Emerson (UW). Subsequent deployments have been funded by NOAA.

ARC ARC Aghulas Return Current mooring is southeast of the tip of Africa at 38.5°S, 30°E. It was deployed, for the first time, on Nov 30, 2010.

JKEO JAMSTEC-Kuroshio Extension Observatory, is a partner ocean climate station north of the Kuroshio Extension at 146 30E, 37 53N.
Carbon Flux Network. CO2 Flux is measured by C.Sabine on all OCS buoys. Data can be accessed through the station websites, or directly through the PMEL Carbon Group website.
